Demis Hassabis is the co-founder and chair of Google DeepMind and chief scientist of Alphabet. In a 2026 leadership announcement, Google said he would hand over day-to-day operational responsibilities at DeepMind to focus on AI strategy and science, while continuing to lead Isomorphic Labs.
