Google Research announced PPE on August 27, 2026 as an early-stage research capability inside Earth AI, not a public product API. Three LLM-orchestrated stages select geospatial data (Data Commons, Earth Engine, live web), fuse covariates with PDFM and AlphaEarth embeddings behind a Feature Gate anti-leakage filter, then search linear, GBDT, and MLP families with an Overfitting Guard. Artifacts pass between stages as opaque handles rather than prompt text.
