Where does this status come from?

Google has no dedicated Gemini status page — this tool reads Google Cloud's shared status.cloud.google.com incident feed and filters it down to rows that name Gemini, Vertex AI, or AI Studio, then checks whether any are still open.

Why does this say Gemini is up but I'm still having issues?

Accepted Answer

Because Google's feed is shared across all of Google Cloud, a narrow Gemini-side degradation can occasionally lag before it's filed as an incident. Local network problems, a browser extension, or an isolated bug can also affect you without any status page update.
