OpenAI and Synopsys announced GPT-Synopsys as a jointly developed, multi-year specialized model that runs on OpenAI-hosted infrastructure, is meant to interoperate with customer agent harnesses, and is integrated with Synopsys.ai and Autopilot. It is not a public ChatGPT SKU. Synopsys CEO Sassine Ghazi told Reuters that traditional high-fidelity sign-off remains essential because the model still needs physics guardrails. Customer design data is described as unused for training.
